Cierra, Boca, Hera, and Zane. These four dogs changed my life. Each one was a great risk that came with great reward. Each had a life lesson for me. I continue to learn from every dog that enters my life as a rescue, foster, or my own. I will forever be grateful for these four, and miss them deeply.

Liam (aka: Liam Ari Puppypants)

Vader is a young rescued Belgian Malinois that came to Little Heart K9 as an owner surrender. For years, I have wished for a female Malinois, but the Universe keeps sending me boys. Vader has stolen my heart, and will become a permanent pack member.

Vader (aka: Vader Von Maligator)

Wonton (aka: Chihuahua) is an unexpected pack addition. While I was at PACC (Pima County Animal Care & Control) to pick up a German Shepherd, I saw two elderly Chihuahua’s. I kept thinking about them, so a few days later I went back, and adopted Wonton (the elderly female Chi had been adopted earlier that day). Wonton is about 12 years old, Valley Fever positive, and the VF has taken a toll on his old bones, he is crippled but can still hop like a bunny. He will stay with our pack and we will give him the best quality of life possible until he tells us it’s time for him to go.

Fab 5: Liam, Phinn, Kei, Wonton, and Vader.

We had to say “see you later, little man” to Wonton. It was very hard to let him go, we loved him so. He and Vader puppy had a special bond. Wonton Jun 27, 2007 – Jun 29, 2020 (rescued Jan 11, 2020)

Shepherd trio: Liam (male Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd), Kei (female German Shepherd), and Vader (male Belgian Malinois).
