Little Heart K9 pulled Daisy (FKA: Tala) from PACC (Pima Animal Care Center, Tucson, AZ). Daisy is 1 year old, approximately 25 pounds, a mystery breed – we will submit a dog DNA test right away. Daisy was found with numerous dog bite wounds, and her medical notes say she may have been hit by a car.
Thanks to PACC, Daisy was cleaned up and wounds were sutured. She is vaccinated, and spayed. We will visit our veterinarian and with a clean bill of health, Daisy will be available for adoption. Daisy is very timid, and we will give her a few days to rest and decompress. She is wary of people and dogs. She can learn she is safe, and that well balanced dogs can be friends.
Donations for Daisy’s care may be made via PayPal.
Thank you, from Daisy, Laura, and the pack at Little Heart K9.
Freedom photo. Daisy is very timid. She’ll need some time to rest and decompress.Daisy had bite marks from head to toe. Most are healing well. Her sutures and staples were removed today. She will let me pick her up, but is not fond of being touched or pet. She met good boy Liam, but isn’t ready yet. Dog DNA test has been done, now we wait for her results. Daisy understands the routine, and watches the other dogs, she is eating well. She watches me brush the other dogs but isn’t ready to let me brush her just yet.Daisy hanging out near the dogs. This is good, she’ll come to understand that she’s safe.Daisy is doing great. She’s still timid, but becoming more ok with being touched or pet. She is learning how to be a happy pack member. Her manner of playing or interacting with other dogs is a little awkward. She had a bath, and let me brush her for the first time. She will often stand close but step just out of reach if I reach out to touch her or pet her.Daisy’s first attempt at joining a group photo. She see’s the pack sitting together for a reason, but isn’t sure just what to do. She’s trying, day by day, we see improvement. Daisy with Chili. Chili was also rescued from PACC.Daisy’s breed identification is in!Daisy has blended in to the pack where she trusts my leadership, she likes her well-balanced pack members, she interacts well with daycare and boarding dogs that visit the home, and overall, she’s doing really well. Her life as a former street dog are evident in some of her habits, but she understands she is safe, gets two meals each day. She is happy and expressive. Daisy is still a little shy about being touched, but does like to be pet, brushed, and held. She’s a sweet and sensitive soul.Happy Thanksgiving from Daisy.Sweet Daisy, I hope your purrfect adopter comes along soon. We love you. DaisyMy favorite photo of Daisy so far. This is her favorite thing: sitting in the sunshine with her legs crossed.
