Update: Sweet dreams, Unity. Jan 10, 2008 – Jan 23, 2020, rescued from PACC on Jan 8, 2020, you were mine for just two weeks. The first several days were good, you were comfortable, loved, and despite being blind, you claimed this house and yard as if it had been yours forever. Your last two days were so, so heartbreaking, your body was ready for eternal rest. I hope I never, ever experience frequent and long lasting seizures like yours again. I thank you for trusting me, letting me hold you, help you, and in the end, let you go. Until we meet again, sweet girl, I love you.
Little Heart K9 pulled Unity (FKA: Ivey) from PACC (Pima Animal Care Center, Tucson, AZ). She was listed as a 12 year old, owner surrender. The life span of a German Shepherd dog is 9-13 years. Unity is blind, possibly deaf, Valley Fever positive, and arthritic. Her former owners stated she had seizures but none were observed while in PACC’s clinic. Unity will be integrated in to our pack where she will know love, comfort, good food, and the love of a pack who will accept her as one of their own.

Thank you, from Unity, Laura, and the pack at Little Heart K9.

Welcome, Unity.

Thank you so much for Unity’s comfort bunny, Benebone, and to those who donated to her veterinary care, meds, and food.

Unity is like my former blind dog, Boca, I simply turned her loose and she found her way around the house and yard through repetition and memorization. Dogs are so amazing and resilient.

Unity with her pack: Liam, Kei, Ginger, and Wonton.

Unity had a very severe seizure in the middle of the night, please pray for her.

Unity has had several seizures, rapidly, and very long lasting. She’s exhausted and I am heartbroken.

We’re going to the vet today, please pray for Miss Unity, and for us to serve her well during this horrific time.

Thank you to Dr. Horton and his staff for their kindness and compassion for Unity.
